Vice Chair Stone called the meeting informational due to a lack of quorum.

Barbara  Flynn distributed a cost analysis comparing sister organizations and a copy of Title 22. Fee for services in the state do not pay for transportation unless it is an emergency – CCAH has been covering this cost at an amount of 1,700,000. The Alliance asked the Commission to help in formulating a policy that would define non-emergency transportation to tailor their services so as to cut costs. This is the first year that the CCAH has lost money so they need to put in place measures to keep costs in control. Commissioner McGaw suggested Paracruz  evaluation

8.1 Updates

Inclusive Home Design/Universal Access:  Mark Demming distributed a packet on the Inclusive Home Design (Universal Design) with back materials and a letter to Board.

Commission is to review packet to discuss in April.

 

Accessible Parking Enforcement: Heylin reported that he met with Mark Stone. Mark Stone spoke with the Sheriff and set up a meeting with  all parties. The revenue generated by Fremont was of interest.

Terry Brickley Scholarship : film festival

 

8.2 Commission vacancy update

The Commission urged Doug Patrick to serve on the Commission as a parent of a child with a disability.
