Coordinators
Report
Retreat
is scheduled for October 8, 9 am to 2 pm at Chair Heylin’s house. Commissioners should submit ideas for the
retreat to the coordinator to put on the agenda.
The
Accessible Design brochure needs to be circulated again for better usage. Staff will meet with former commissioner
Patrick.
Kiosks
are available for “Blue” (accessible) construction. However, the County does not want to include anything that
mentions specific products.
Commissioner
Reports
Commissioner
Cosentino reported that there is a major effort at Dominican Hospital to
prepare for the H1N1 flu. There may not
be enough vaccine.
The
Commission wanted to know how the recent Survey on Residents with Disabilities
was received in order to follow up on this project. The Commissioners will call people who got the surveys to
determine their responses and report back at the retreat.
Next
meeting will include some one on the H1N1 flu.
Staff will also contact Francie Neufield to discuss IHSS cuts.
Meeting
adjourned 1:45 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Mary Thuerwachter
Commission Coordinator
